Avalarian Civil War Estimation Text

=== Team Headquarters ===

In the main image of the map, I mentioned the headquarters of the sides in the event of a civil war in the United Kingdom of Avalar; in case you hadn't read said text, I shall remind you of the three provinces.

The first is the capital province: The Kingdom of Avalar. The city of Warfang is the seat of the kingdom's monarchy and the capital of both the province and the country. Avalar had historically been the capital of Avalar since the creation of the Roman fort Bella Denitculum (Latin for "War of Fangs") around 2000 years ago.
The city of Warfang since 2008 had been the home of the new king Ddraigtanto, whom of which very quickly built up a strong base of supporters due to his involvement in both the Malefor Wars, and then also his efforts in rebuilding Warfang, forgoing the chance to rebuild a new palace to ensure the reconstruction funds were adequate to rebuild the city. As time passed, Ddraigtanto had a strong base of loyalists and Lords whom of which were supportive of the king who congregated in Warfang; these lords became known as the Crown Lords. As a result, in the event of a civil war, it is highly likely to become the centre of the old Avalarian Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the opposition contending for the Avalarian throne is centred with Lord Alexander Greywater in the city of Greywater in Holland.
The Netherlands has never been very happy under the control of Avalar, and even Ddraigtanto's attempts to improve relations with the state have been met with limited success; however, the option to garrison Avalarian Soldiers in the state was the final straw for the people there, seeing their beautiful countryside littered with checkpoints and military encampments, and their cities crowded and choked by stationed and patrolling soldiers made the already angry Dutch develop rebellious sentiment.
What better person to embody that anger and rebellious desire than Lord Alexander Greywater? His ancestors where wealthy Dutch entrepreneurs which contributed to the country's wealth and even its colonial prowess. While Alexander himself was born an American citizen, he retained a great deal of Dutch patriotism, and considered himself a "Dutch-American". Not only that, he was a natural leader and well liked among the rapidly growing Draconic-Dutch population.
Lord Greywater rules the Netherlands as Sovereign Regent of the Netherlands, as he was assigned by the late King Gether, from his city, the City of Greywater, which he built and ruled himself, he has the support of a great deal of wealthy people, such as lords and businessmen who resent Ddraigtantasian commercial regulations and the increasingly "Planned Economy" of the country; these lords all were granted land and power within Greywater's lands, and became known as the Grey Lords. It is likely in the event of a civil war, the city of Greywater could potentially become the capital of the realm should Lord Greywater be successful in his war.

There is a third, neutral, force which would likely come to exist should a civil war break out.
Brussels in Belgium (Aka. The European Commonweal when part of Avalar) would become a third party in the civil war. The city of Brussels is the headquarters of the European Union, both as Avalar and in the entire of Europe; however, the Commonweal is unique in Avalarian politics as it is not entirely controlled by Avalar. Should a civil war break out, the other members of the EU can initiate "Chaincurtain Order 91" which enables the EU to intervene and assume emergency powers over Belgium and any parts of Avalar which seek to remain out of the conflict; once allied with the EU, both the Crown and Greywater would be infringing on EU territory should they try to attack them. This effectively creates a safe haven for any who wish to escape the conflict.

=== Crown State ===

There are several states which remain loyal to Ddraigtanto regardless, and would continue to do so into the civil war.

Perhaps the most important ally Ddraigtanto has is the State of Drakenholm, named after the city of Drakenholm, which is the important because Drakenholm is the home of the Avalarian Parliament and the Avalarian Supreme Court; two of the main pillars of the Avalarian government, the other two being the Monarchy and the Guardiancy, which are located within Warfang. The strength lies in the city's parliament; while the country's Prime-Minister, Chamberlain Wells, is pretty much a puppet of both the king and the Avalarian Parliament, overall, the Avalarian house of Parliament supports Ddraigtanto, ensuring the support of a greatly important trading commercial city, which has a very large garrison of Avalarian soldiers, which would act as a swift land force in the event of a war.

Next is the Principality of Wales. The former British territory was originally the home of the country's king, Ddraigtanto had a rather strong personal tie to the territory, and poured much into strengthening the principality, which was most ignored and even taken for granted under British rule, something Ddraigtanto didn't want to do, and the decision paid off, big time.
As a result, the Welsh lords are often the first to swear loyalty to Ddraigtanto, which is a very useful thing for the king, since in the event of a war, the harbours in South Wales provide a key military outpost for naval units to be set up to quickly strike the Netherlands if needed. Not to mention the key mining opportunities which can easily be exploited if needs be.

The third province swearing fealty is the East French Province. Ddraigtanto had many good experiences in his early life in France, and historically, France and Avalar had rather strong relations with one another, and such loyalties expanded through both Free and Avalarian France. Although they admit things are not quite how they'd like them to be, the Avalao-French Representative overall believes that the majority of the Avalao-French people will support Ddraigtanto in a civil war.

The second to last province which supports Ddraigtanto, and the last province in Europe to support Ddraigtanto, is the Principality of Switzerland. While normally neutral in conflicts, the Swiss had been taken by Avalar long ago, but unlike the Netherlands, they had been integrated into Avalar much better than the Dutch, and eventually grew much happier to be a part of Avalar as a result. As a result, the Swiss may not provide MILITARY support to the war, but they may provide commercial and industrial support to the war effort, which in some ways, is far more valuable.

The last province loyal to Ddraigtanto is the former-Canadian regions of the North American States. the Canadian and Alaskans often immigrate to to that particular state in the North American regions if they immigrate to Avalar, in an attempt to use it as a stepping stone into the main Avalarian Kingdom. Traditionally, the Alaskans have gotten on very well with the Avalarians, and a very strong "Avalarian Foreign Legion" has been built up in the former Canadian state.

=== Grey States ===

There are a roughly similar amount of states which are loyal to Lord Greywater, or at least supportive of him.

The first major region to be mentioned is the East German Province. While not inherently loyal to Greywater, the history between Germany and the Netherlands is undeniable, as is the statistics: There is are combined German/Dutch corps in the Dutch and German Armies, and Greywater has had means of gaining influence with the German province, convincing the current West German Government that it was wrong for Avalar to claim the German territory as part of Avalar, and that it should now instead join Greywater's plan to usurp the current king, while not gullible, the German representatives were certainly not happy either, and chances are, they will support Lord Greywater in the event of a war.

The next province to potentially rebel from the Avalarian Crown is the Northern Libyan Province. This could potentially be a huge commercial blow to Avalar, due to the large amounts of oil in Libya could be vital to the war effort.
The reason that the Libyan province was so easily drawn to Greywater because, while the old dictating government had been displaced, there were some corrupt aspects of the government there which Greywater could exploit, resulting in them quickly turning to support him, although if Ddraigtanto was more willing to stoop to the level to offer 'incentives' himself, that might be another story...

The next province, or provinces, supporting Greywater are the Avalarian Island Zones. While they have little value in of themselves, they offer a similar advantage to Greywater that Wales had to Avalar: The two islands offer a serious collection of naval outposts for Greywater to use to springboard onto the coast of the Kingdom of Avalar itself, potentially spelling disaster if not dealt with quickly.

The last province of importance is in North America. The former American regions of the Avalao-American States have been easy for Greywater to gain support from due to the very fact that Greywater is himself American; he also shares many conservative views which many of the politicians there agree with at the time. While this wins him the support of the Americans, this also heightens the severity of the civil war, potentially dragging it into an international crisis if not handled correctly...

=== Other State ===

There are roughly three provinces which haven't decided who they wish to support, if anyone. These states are very important since they could turn the tide of the war.

The first is the East Austrian Province, which has loyalties to both Avalar and Greywater.
Its Avalarian loyalties lie in Okarthel, which is made up of the other half of Austria, as a result the Austrian citizens tend to accept Avalarian control more than the German people do, although there is a risk they may simply accept Okarthelli rule more.
Then there is the ties to Germany which Austria has. Since the West German Province is loyal to Greywater, there is a chance the Austrians could support the Germans; either way, the Austrians could go either way.

The next province which could go either way is Northern Italy. Now, Northern Italy quietly accepted Avalarian control, but are simply yet to decide which side to take, it may take a little bit of convincing to see which side they WILL take, however...

The Last province which could go either way is Tunisia. Which, again, is yet to take a side, but it is imperative that Ddraigtanto find a way to gain support from Tunisia, due to its oil supplies.
