So, we begin our story in the summer of 2011, where Flame has come from his homeland to visit Ember, his girlfriend of 3 years...

"I really do miss you, you know..." The red dragon told Ember, stoking her cheeck with his paw and smiling.
"Yeah, me too..." she replied, blushing slightly from Flame's (surprisingly) gentle touch. "You should really visit more often..."
"Or you could come see me..." Flame suggested, then Ember smirked.
"After last time?" She grinned. "I got so sunburnt people began mistaking me for a female you!"
"Well that's YOUR fault for forgetting sun lotion..." Flame laughed, before looking out a window. "Although, you may need it here too, knowing you."
This also caused Ember to smile; St. Kilda was having surprisingly good weather for a change, the sun shone brightly in a clear blue sky outside her home in the city state island.
"Yeah, the island hasn't had weather this good since before I was born." Ember told Flame, walking over to an open arched window and over the island meadows.
"Must be your lucky day, espescially since your birthday is coming up soon an' all..."
This caused Ember to giggle slightly. "Yeah, and I bet you've forgotten to get me something, haven't you?" she asked him, play hitting him in the chest.
"Ow! I have not!" he protested. "I just... Didn't remember to not forget..."
"So you forgot?"
"Up until I saw your beautiful face again..." Flame replied, flattering her was often a good way to avoid her wrath.
"Awww, you're a softie..." Ember cooed. "I think I'll keep you..." she joked.
"Well, you got me for a week. And your birthday."

They continued to chat on a palace balcony for a while, occasionally joking or teasing one another, until Flame got board, and asked if they could have a look around Ember's city...

Now, St. Kilda has only one 'city' on the entire island, and it's a tiny little trading port. But because it's so small, it's mostly filled with wealthy merchants, which means it has grown very beautiful, and very wealthy. It's not a boaring place to be, even if the weather is often poor. pure white marble paved streets are often littered with market stands, and have rows of stone buildings on either side; which are either simple but well furnished and comfortable homes, or small businesses (such as tailors quilting shops or even goldsmiths); many a merchant from a foreign land come to St. Kilda to trade exotic goods, and the island maintains an "olde world" air to it, even in the modern, globalized world of the Twenty-first Century.

So, Ember and Flame decided to fly down past the palace walls, and into the city itself. A strange, relaxing smell filled the air. It must have been a shipment of spices in from another one of the southen islands, which often perfumed the town with a pleasant aroma...

It was while Flame and his girlfirend sat outside a cafe overlooking the sea, Flame's more politically driven head (which he got from his father) kicked in.
"Look..." He pointed to the horizon. "You can see the rest of the British Isles from here, can't you?"
Ember nodded. "St. Kilda has always been quite close to Scotland." She eyed him up with her babyblue eyes. "Why?"
"Well, my dad would be going on about how this town is so tactically placed. I mean, you have a trading post in Scotland, and a trading post in England, and in Wales and Northen Island. So this place is swimming in Mankind money. But..."
"But?"
"Well, Dad sometimes talk about how the Avalarian king worries about how Sekeolath sees this place." Then, he shook his head. "I'm sorry. I'll shut up now. This is meant to be a good time." He nodded. "Yes. The sun is shining. You're cute, and I'm going to relax."
Ember smirked. "Well, good..."

They continued to sit and talk for a little while, before Ember took Flame to her favourate beach...
Ok, so part one of this new story. And I'm not going to make this one very long, I don't think. As I struggled to make this chapter interesting. I'd like to get to the good stuff ASAP.

So, Flame has come to stay with his girlfirend Ember for a bit (if you've read my other stories, you'll know I ship SxC, and FxE), so she's taken him to have a little look around her home. And it's a cultural and trading hotspot. Not to the extent of a mankind trading port, but it's more like a trading outpost of milenia gone by, where merchants form strange, exotic lands far away, come in their trading ships and dock in the port, and sell their wares to the public at a stall or shop at the docks and town centre. Rather than massive shipyards, filled with containers full of boxed, mass produced garbage that the Mankind are addicted to. No! Dragons are creatures of quality, not quantity, and are happy to wait longer for better quality, if more expensive, luxories traded in a rustic and old fashioned way.

And that's what Ember's homeland is all about. It's the closest you'll EVER get to Classic Spyro in my stories, most likely, other than the bedtime story Ddraig used to read to Eve, which was, literally, Classic Spyro the Dragon (but tweaked, so a time paradox isn't caused :noes:)
